Kash-In Mobile Token Economy

Kash-In is a new mobile app that updates the old classroom token economies that use paper money, stickers, fake checkbooks, and/or point systems used for classroom management; a classroom management tactic into a digital version with a real world twist. Kash-In uses positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) methods to help develop healthier behaviors in our students by monetizing different actions such as perfect attendance or incomplete homework and either deposits or withdraws “Kash” from the students account. Just like a real banking account, transactions are done in real time, with alerts. The app will build high expectations, a safer learning environment, cuts down on teacher prep, less cumbersome management, and teacher burnout. It helps with a fixed rewards/consequences system, consistent preventative practices, and drives student motivation and achievement while incorporating financial literacy.

Students will be able to:
*view bank statements
*view/shop at campus based stores
*Use debit card on Kash-In vending machine to purchase prizes
*customize profile
*Receive awards i.e. Top Kash earned; most prizes bought
*Receive alerts i.e. low Kash; payday; credit/debits

Teachers will be able to:
*Deduct/Deposit Kash
*Customize positive actions/behaviors and Kash amounts
*Customize negative actions/behaviors and Kash amounts
* View behavior data trends
*Schedule weekly/monthly paydays
*Create awards for students
*Get alerts for paydays, birthdays, and other notifications
*View student(s) by class, ranking, grouping (filter)
