Hear ye, Hear ye…all educators, all summer breaks have came to an end. The long nights turns into long days, sleeping a healthy 8 hours turns into drifting in and out of consciousness during the faculty meetings, Olive Garden lunch specials are minimized to a granola bars and water, and your free time is converted to lesson planning, meetings, and students.
The first ten days are down and the school house blues, may be sinking in for some. The angels on Earth are now slowing transforming into “What on Earth?”, the nice, sweet hugs are now “Why me hugs?” and the skipping merrily to your car in the afternoon, has now became a brisk run.
But, let what you do, the smiles you create, the memories you build, the futures you make better, the happiness you extract, and the love that you pour out be the strength that pulls you through those long nights, classroom struggles, lesson planning, and dealing with those mundane days.
